Not in our house. I think size 8 is about average for the 3 year olds that I know.
Our 3 year old (3 years 2 months) wears size 10, and I'll have to buy 10 1/2 or 11 for the fall. Our ds wore size 11 or 12 at the same age. My kids have big feet. The first thing the nurse said when ds was born was "look at those feet!"

My 19 mo. old wears a 6.5 or 7, which is 18-24 mos.
I thought 8 was average for a young 2 yr. old and a 9-10 is average for a young 3 yr. old (from looking at soft soled shoe size charts that sell shoes by age). My 4 yr. old wears a 12. Maybe girls have smaller feet, though.
My ds is 2.5 and is starting to grow out of his size 11 shoes! The last time I took him to get shoes a couple of months ago the girl measured his foot and said he is no longer in toddler sizes! I knew he had big feet but I didn't realize how big until this thread! He is also very tall for his age so I guess its all in proportion!
My almost 2 year old wears a 10 or 9.5 wide.: I hate it since I keep hearing that they grow a shoe size every 3 months, but I have to go back every month and a half. He blends in with three and four year olds pretty well.
My poor kids got my flipper feet. I wear an 11.5 in men's, DS (3) is wearing 11's, and DD (6) is always upset when the play shoes are too small for her, while her friends are all prancing around in them just fine. Hopefully, they'll both be like puppies and grow into their feet.

My nearly-18-month-old wears a 3 or 4, depending upon the brand. Her whole family is short though, and her dad and maternal grandma have TEENSY feet. (my feet have grown too huge for my height - due to weight gain before and during pregnancy).
