Ds has gone from taking 2 naps a day, to no naps over the last 3 days. I used to put him in his crib, and he'd put himself right to sleep. No luck with the last few days though. I'm really hoping this is temporary due to teething or something.

He's 20 months....I'm sure this is too early to be giving up naps alltogether, isn't it?

When my ds transitioned from two naps to one nap he went a few days with no nap (and actually a day with three naps). Perhaps that's what is happening with your ds.

DD just gave up naps yesterday. Not sure if it's for good, but it's noon here and she's still awake for the second time. I'm pretty sure she doesn't plan to nap any time soon. 19 months old.

My 22 mo old has been giving up naps for about a week and it's going great for us. Instead of napping for 1-2 hrs during the day and going to bed at 11:30, she does not nap and goes to bed around 8:30 and still sleeps until she did when she went to bed at 11:30. She gets her 13 or so hours all at once instead of broken up. I thought it would be too early for her too, but she seems to do better that way.

It could be a transition. Thur and Fri he took a morning nap, but not an afternoon nap. Sat and Sun he took no nap at all, but slept 10 hours straight through at night. Today he took a morning nap, but no afternoon nap.

Hopefully he'll keep at least one nap, I have lotsa work to do!
