Ds only wears one if he's having soup or something really runny.
I like the bibs that are like a painting smock with or without sleeves. I like it when they have a picket at the bottom to catch all the liquids.

He doesn't wear one very often. He stopped wearing one regularily around 18 months. He doesn't eat as messily and if he gets stuff on his shirt I just change it.

I loathe the cloth bibs for eating. They get so stained and ucky looking. I only use them for drool. For eating I use a Maws or Baby Bjorn bib, which are basically the same. They can be popped in the dishwasher for easy cleaning and they have a pocket at the bottom to catch anything that is dropped. Either that or I just strip them (if we are home).

I like the crocodile creek bibs. They're coated cotton with a pocket at bottom and they have fun pictures and sayings, my favorite....'give peas a chance'.

They have a website, I've also noticed them at a lot of toy stores.

Still using bibs at 14 months, DS is my first.

We have that one! I love bibs with pockets too. We don't always use a bib on DD but lunch today was chili and she definitely wore a bib!

ETA: Ours was a gift but I think Whole Foods carries them

They are cute, but will be ruined if you wash them hot.

Love bumkins bibs. I have four and they're so easy to rinse off and dry FAST. The velcro part is long enough to fit at many ages. Love the pocket in front too and they come in lots of cute prints. I want to get the kind with the "sleeves" also.

I like the cloth ones because then I can just throw them in the wash. I also like that they hang better and don't get all crumpled up like some of the more plastic ones do. I also like the ones made form oil cloth, you can just toss them in the dishwasher.

One of our favorites is a Gagamondo bib: http://www.austinmama.com/gagamondo.htm

You can find some really unique and fun mama made bibs on Etsy:

Another vote for bumkins! We use their long sleeved bibs only; they are waterproof but are pvc and phthalate free. i wish there was some sort of full-body-wrap-including-bum bib out there, because DD is the messiest eater ever. She's a freak for the blueberries, and all her clothes have blueberry stains.

btw those etsy Pearly Grey Big Kid Bib bibs look awesome! wish they came in a long-sleeved version.

I love our bib - it's 'bibbity' by kiddopotomus. It's the only bib we used for ages but I recently go a pack of two sleeved ones from Ikea which are great too. Hate cloth bibs.

We bought a set of 2 Baby Bjorn bibs when DD was 12 mos. and haven't used another one since! We still use them for just about every meal....makes clean up a cinch! When we are out to eat, everyone always comments on what a great idea they are.

Bumkins. Totally. I love that they make the bigger, longer Toddler bibs, as well as the ones with sleeves. DS1 (8 mos) has the regular ones and they are awesome, too. They wash and wear very well and do not get cracked and crunchy like so many other brands do. Best of all, the are made in Phoenix, AZ, USA.

Bumkins Bumkins Bumkins. I like it better than the baby bjorn or bibbity ones. The bumkins ones just get rinsed, can be put in washer if they are really terrible, fold up nicely in my bag when going out, have the pocket at bottom and aren't made of anything frightening. I didn't like how molded the baby bjorn and bibbity ones were.

DS just turned two. I usually never put the bib on unless he is eating something that is likely to get all over (think rice, think yogurt, think soup). DH, OTOH, always puts a bib on DS!

I think my favourite bib is too old for you but I know some new bib and I am now starting to like it. That was the bib that i just bought and I was surprised because it works so well. My toddler loves it to.

I gave up on bibs a long time ago lol! My kids just pull them off no matter what kind. If it's something messy I just take their shirt off.
