I'm nursing my 12mo and I'm trying to wean myself off coffee. I bought a pack of chai tea and it's good. But then I started wondering if it's safe. It does NOT have anise it in. Thoughts?
Chai has less caffeine than coffee. It's black tea and spices. I limit myself to a cup a day because it does have caffeine in it. My ds is older (2 1/2) but I've been drinking chai since he was a newborn. The only thing I had to change was that instead of adding milk, I use unsweetened almond milk. My ds has a dairy allergy and the milk would give him a bad rash.
