I'm 22 weeks pregnant, and my 3 year old nurses before bed, before nap (if he'll take one), and early morning.  We've talked about the baby in my tummy and how the baby will eat mama milk.  My 3 year old son has started saying that he doesn't want the baby to nurse and he only wants the baby to drink almond milk and water.  Do you have any suggestions on how to handle this? I'm worried that he's going to have a hard to adjusting to the baby drinking mama milk even though he's welcome to continue nursing himself.

My daughter is younger but in that situation I think I would just explain it. Baby needs mama milk, she will be too little for almond milk or water. When you were so little, the only thing you could drink was mama milk too. Baby will have other things when older. Mommy is very good at making milk and she will have lots for big brother and for baby. There will be enough because the more you and baby drink, the more mama will make.
You can also try to role play with dolls. Mommy is nursing baby. Big brother comes over and he also nurses. Later daddy plays with baby while mommy nurses big brother before his nap, etc. I would keep talking through it. Mention any friends or relatives you know who nurse in tandem or show him pictures from the web so he can see it is common.

I hope that helps
