I two kids and have been nursing continuously since my daughter was born almost 7 1/2 years ago.  My son is now 3.  He's been unwell the last few weeks (just normal preschooler stuff but it's just kept coming - ear infections, colds, stomach viruses) so he's been nursing much more often.

My nipples feel like someone took a meat cleaver to them.  Never, in over 7 years have I had anything like this.  After 7 years I'm going to buy some cream and gel pads tomorrow.  I feel slightly ridiculous.

I am finding the same thing. My worst times have been lately with a 4 yo and a 2.5 yo. I put it down to their latch being less ideal and so much stronger.

Definitely not pregnant.  It's mostly healed up (a month later) but his latch is just awful these days.  I keep telling nurse properly or you are not going to nurse but he mostly just half chews.
