What the heck do I do when my DD's gone 3-4 days w/out nursing and suddenly asks/begs to nurse? Btw, she's almost 2 1/2yrs old. Part of me says "don't turn back now", while another part of me feels so guilty for refusing her. She wasn't as upset about me refusing as I thought she would be. I told her the milk was empty, but, of course, she didn't buy it and didn't care. She only wanted to nurse so she could fall asleep. Finally, this morning, she settled for holding my breast. Today was the first day, since Sunday, she woke up in the morning and wanted to go back to sleep and it was the first time we were home during naptime. At night she goes to bed w/out nursing.

So what do I do? If I give in, will she go another few days w/out asking or possibly wean completely, or will she go back to her routine of nursing mornings & naps? I know you can't predict how my DD will react, but I was wondering what those of you who have mlw have experienced. TIA.
