DD#1 just 7 months(I was young and dumb and she got nipple confusion and eventually I just dried up due to lack of stimulation)
DD#2 21months, self-weaned. yeah I know people say they don't wean before two but this was no nursing strike. she adamently refused, but she has fond memories of "boobie nack" and pats her boobies and kisses them now still at 28months even though she doesn't want to nurse.

DS1 - 3 1/2 to 4ish (somewhere in there!)

DS2 - 11 months, no end in sight

No-one need apologize, feel guilty or explain why they breastfed (esp first babes) for a short length, imho. Ha - anywhere else people would be making excuses for why they nursed so long! You all deserve a big round of !

I'm proud of my SIL for getting through 3 months of nursing, since she had such a problem with it. For her that was a l-o-n-g time!

Ds1 - 23 mos. - I "experimented" with not offering anymore and he never asked again!

Ds2 - 3 yr. 7 mos. - I had to stop. I'd been tandem nursing with horrible reccurent thrush for 5 mos. and couldn't take it anymore.

Dd - 26 mos. - Still nursing often and enthusiastically.
