finally got a cotton/wool twin mattress for my toddler. he occasionally wets the bed, so i need something more waterproof than the wool. we want to keep this mattress a long time! the only ones i see online are are $50+. anyone know of a cheaper option that doesn't contain weird plastics and chemicals? thanks!

If you search by "latex mattress cover" you should be able to find some more. I have seen a few of those.

Well, Carter's makes 100% cotton waterproof pads, but I'm not exactly sure how it works. It's either coated with something that's not listed or it's woven so densely that it doesn't allow water to penetrate? I've never been able to figure it out.
