Anyone know anything about the Murano granite for countertops and it's quality?

And the Whirlpool Estate dishwasher, gas range, fridge, and microhood - are they quality appliances?

We're looking at a kitchen remodel and one of our considerations include a $4k kitchen package including that granite countertop and those appliances along with cabinets, disposal, etc.. Trying to find reviews and opinions on those to see if the package is worth any more consideration.

It looks like they're energy star qualified- what's that mean? I don't need anything fancy, heck don't even need new appliances except the dishwasher and the microwave hood but if they're part of a package that is in our price range... Might upgrade our old, non-energy star appliances to something a bit more efficient, if they really are more efficient.
