after reading this thread yesterday and thinking "awww THAT sucks!", i woke up to my 2 yo ds this morning looking like a smurf. literally. he had gotten into my acrylic paint. he squeezed an entire tube of smurf-blue acrylic canvas paint into his hair and ALL OVER his head, on his face, all over his body, even the sole of one foot. fortunately, only a little got on the carpet and i was able to clean it up with no staining, BUT, geesh! i couldn't believe it!

I swear we are living the same life!

A recent conversation in our house:

DS1 (as they walk down the stairs by a bunch of scribbling on the wall): "Look DS2, ancient writings!"

DS2: "Wow, cool"

Martha
Is it possible we are 2 parts of the same person, each living in a parallel universe?

Oh dear.

What is it with blue though? Last fall I walked into the living room where dd2 was watching Spongebob, absentmindedly drawing on her girly bits in blue WASHABLE (thank god) marker. Now THAT was horrifying. Her entire vulva was blue.

How did he only get a little on the carpet? That is amazing!

I think that is quite possible since I feel like I'm living in a parallel universe much of the time!!! LOL

sounds like something my dd would have done when she was a little younger! though one morning i slept in (she was about 20 months), and woke to her using chunks of her poo as crayons. i had to throw away several funktified books. it was gross.

i really lucked out with only a little blue paint on the carpet! i spent all day long yesterday in mortal dread that i would find a hidden glob on the carpet somewhere. i told dh we're lucky i haven't been buying oil paints. the carpet definitely would have been toast!

I should have read this thread a few months ago... would have saved me the time I spent repainting the front door of our house. DS painted the inside of it with permanent marker. We still can't figure out how he reached soooo high up to paint so much of the door.

Mom to 7-year old DS1 carrot.gif, 2 year old DD joy.gifand DS2 surf.gif
