I bought some couches from craigslist last night and the guy delivered them for me. He had an open trailer, though, and they reek of exhaust. Luckily it's in the low 40s right now and we have the windows and doors open, but I'm wondering what to do. Tonight I can get help and put them in the garage for a few months to air out, but it will be cold soon (I'm in upstate ny). I read online that I can clean them with saddle soap followed by a baking soda mixture, but that's going to take a few days to get done. Ugh -- both boys woke up stuffy.
