It seems as if she is saying all white vinegar is bad.

Right, but not white wine vinegar or applecider vinegar.  I'm going to check into this some more but it may just be true.

Looking into it - it seems like her big problem is with acetic acid. It appears as if she believes that all acetic acid is synthetic and that all white vinegar is made from this synthetic acetic acid. From my understanding, all vinegars - not just white vinegar - contain acetic acid since it's produced by bacteria as part of the fermentation process. There ARE white vinegars on the market made with synthetic acetic acid as part of some petroleum extraction process, but there are other white vinegars - Heinz brand comes to mind - that are grain distilled.

Well it's someone who picks and chooses her information then.  Whatever.  As long as other people don't just read it and take it for word.

Actually, reading through it she says several times that NOT all white vinegar is bad, only the stuff that's synthetic. She states several times that there are grain distilled white vinegars that are naturally occurring and fine to you. She just gives the information she found and cautions you to read the label and know your products.

True. She has changed the article several times from it's original form after receiving a ton of backlash. She still has misinformation in it, though - especially stating that all acetic acid is lab created. People have tried to reason with her in the comments, but she won't remove it. I personally have no respect for people who write things of that nature and don't acknowledge corrections. At least she did stop with the claim that all white vinegar is bad, though, which was what I was questioning when I originally posted the link. :-)

I had no idea she'd changed the article several times. Which is too bad, a lot of ppl just read one article like that one time and take it at its word. My mom is that way, she'd never do further research and just go on and on and on about how bad white vinegar is and never be reasoned with. Just goes to prove-once again!- that you can't trust everything you read on the internet!!

It stinks. This has gone slightly viral among some of my friends and groups on Facebook. There are people in a literal panic because of it. It's a real shame.
