I was making my own detergent when I had a top loading washer - washing soda, borax, and sunlight laundry soap (can't remember the exact ratios as it's been a while).  I would add some oxygen cleaner for really dirty items and usually use vinegar on the rinse cycle.

Does anyone have a recipe that is fine to use for a front load washer?  I'd like to go back to making my own.

Also, I've recently heard of Castille soap, but don't know where to buy it or how to use it?  Thoughts or suggestions?
