Hi Ladies,

I have yet another question! For those that purchased an organic or natural mattress (twin size or larger) did you purchase an organic box spring as well? Do you know if they use flame retardants on traditional box springs and if so, if the mattress is organic/natural would it be safe to use a regular box spring?

I've spent countless hours researching and researching hoping to find an organic mattress within financial reach. Didn't even begin to think about the box spring as well! greensad.gif

Has anyone ever used a bunkie board? Just heard about it but Dh wasn't crazy about it and wants to get a box spring instead.

Thanks in advance for your time. smile.gif

Faith

I bought latex mattresses and we just have bed frames that are made for just a mattress with no box spring.

I used wood planks from home depot to covert our team into a box free one so we didn't need one.

Is that a foundation? Just learning the differences between box springs (which is what it seems they were all called for years! LOL), foundations and bunkie boards!

Good to know about the different options. Thanks for the reply.
