I'd love to see a virtual fashion show too!  I'll see if I can find pics of the things my mom and sister have made for my kids ...

I love to sew, though it doesn't happen very often. These 2 dresses are the same pattern from Common Sense Patterns. The company's patterns are marketed to very conservative, modest people of faith. The top dress was the second sewing job I'd ever done. It gave me experience & was enough for me to realize I hated the sleeves. She liked it fine for a play dress. The bottom dress was after I had gained some experience & learned I didn't have to follow patterns to a T. I gathered instead of pleated, figured out how to make bias tape, drew my own pattern for in-seam pockets as opposed to front ones, lined the (non-apparel fabric...polyester?) bodice & added a sash instead of side ties. She loved it & so did the next sister.
