we are choosing a new wood flooring for our house.

I am wondering if anyone has a specific type of wood flooring that they like?

I have looked at a lot and am still undecided!

The only aspect I am undecided is what type of wood.

Such as white oak, maple, birch, beech, ash, others.

Anyone want to tell me which wood you would put in if you could put in a new wood floor?

We have bamboo flooring in the kids' room. I love it. He has beat the hell out of it and it is going great.

We just put in the nail down oak flooring that was prefinished.  I was uncertain about getting prefinished b/c of offgassing, but a lot of them in the store where greenguard certified, sustainably harvested, and made in the USA.  We have oak flooring that we put on our 1st floor about 12 years ago that still looks really good.
