Would you live here (high tension power lines)?

We're in the midst of house-hunting to relocate closer to my family. There are a couple of houses that we really really like and would be inclined to move toward making an offer on except in both cases there are high tension power lines running just behind or alongside the property. In one case it is pretty well-concealed by trees and whatnot so it's not an eyesore, but I am very wary about the health aspect for myself and my family living so close to them. This move would (hopefully) be our "forever" home. So we'd be raising our kids (and ourselves) there for a long time.

Google has me thinking about EMF stuff and I just don't know what to make of the correlations, speculations, and "research proving no increased risk" for cancer and other health problems.

Would love thoughts from those who know more that I do about this subject.

Wife to my DH Mama to my two girls  hearts.gif'03 and love.gif '06 and my sweet babyboy.gif 3-'10 I am blessed.

Growing up I had a friend near some, and they buzzed. The sound was annoying. I don't know any facts about power lines but they'd freak me out enough that I'd be thinking about them on and off. I think I would decide against those locations for myself just because of the slight stress from worrying. But everyone has their own worries and trade offs to think about.

No, I would not. I don't carry a cell phone or keep one near me either. Why risk it.

Definitely a big no no. It would be like a constant reminder that something bad might happen.
