I always wondered where to do this......hope it helps someone else!

go to http://www.rbrc.org/index.html

or call 1-800-8-BATTERY

Drop off rechargeable batteries at the following national retailers:

In the US:

Best Buy
Black and Decker
Cingular Wireless
The Home Depot
Radioshack
Staples
Target

.......and more, enter your zip code on the site and it will tell you where to take them.

In Canada:

Bell Mobility
Canadian Tire
Future Shop
The Home Depot
Radioshack
The Sony Store
TELUS Mobility

It also has a section called "Battery Tips" which helps get longer life out of these batteries. For example
Quote:
Don't leave your cellular or cordless phone in the charger when not charging unless indicated by manufacturer's instructions. For example don’t use the charger as a stand. Continuous charging will shorten battery life.
