We parked our car under a tree a few weeks ago (I know should clean things up right away) and it got pine sap drops all along the hood, front window, and roof. How in the world can I get them off? We tried washing the car today and they would not come off.

I tried scraping off as much as I could, but that seemed to not be that much help, made the spot bigger, and I then couldn't get it off my fingers for an hour or so till it finally wore off after touching so much stuff.

Any ideas?????

My husband is a sawyer (sawmill operator) and we are used to sap around here! For your fingers at least, try washing with baking soda, it can really help. I don't know if that would work on your car, but I've used it to get sap off different things before, with good success.

I've used rubbing alcohol with much success.
