Aaaaaugh. Last-week-of-pregnancy spending spree continues! At least I seem to be buying things I have wanted to own consistently for many months, not total random impulse buys.

The bad news? My mom wants to take the kids up to Asheville to show them off to her aunt. This is most definitely a good idea, the woman is 80ish and my mom adores her and she's never met the kids and now we live close enough to make it an easy trip! But whatever travel costs I incur are just going to put us deeper in the hole for May.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

May 1: $2 pizza day at preschool, $295 preschool tuition, $300 mural in kids' bedroom
May 2: Mortgage paid.$4.56 overpriced yummy sugary coffee drink, $3 brownie breakfast for kids, $7 heirloom veggies seedlings, $10 gallon of local strawberries, $6.77 bananas and raw milk.
May 3: $26.37 book, $31.57 bulk order of Dreamfields pasta
May 4: $16.50 insurance autodraft, $35.99 sheets and socks for older kids at BRU, $33.86 baby supplies at Baby Depot, $44.45 at Michael's, and... $13.23 unhealthy lunch at the Barnes and Noble cafe for ds and me
May 5: $12.30 Mickey-Ds, $38.13 household 40.75 groceries $9.42 gas at Costco
May 6:
May 7: about $ 25 fast food It was a loooong drive to the pediatric urologist, but I should've had lunch at home.
May 8: $74.05 household at CVS, $18.34 groceries, $35.59 Asian takeout. Aaaargh!
May 9: $71.71 gas bill autodraft
May 10:
May 11: $50.56 groceries $9.39 Ziploc bags at Costco, $21.21 books $9.84 unhealthy breakfast at Barnes & Noble, $27.28 garden $25.12 groceries $40.96 household at Walmart, $12.30 Mickey-Ds

Yup. I just track my spending. I have noticed a big change in DH's spending habits since I started participating in these challenges. You can be a good influence on your DH!

Ugh, I'm sorry. I've done that before and I was so mad at myself! If you have the money to cover it in your savings the fee shouldn't be too bad. I think it was only $3 the time I did it.

Ugh! I have tonsilitis, so had to spend even more money on medicine today. I've spent more on medicine than on fun stuff this month, having an eye infection and now this and I'm having my windows cleaned on saturday, which is going to blow the rest of my home/garden money. Looks like the rest of the month is really going to be NO SPEND for me. ETA- on the upside, I sold our twin sized bed that we never use today for $100, which brings me $100 closer to being able to afford a new mattress for a bigger bed

May 1- and : No spend, no drive day.
May 2- $14 on Medicine (spending)
May 3- and : $5 on Artisan bread (groceries)
May 4- Grocery day, $218 (groceries)
May 5- $4 at dollar store (spending), $45 alcohol
May 6- and :
May 7- $24 Canadian tire, potting soil and planters (garden)
May 8- and :
May 9- and : $22 Market (groceries)
May 10- and :
May 11-
May 12- $35 thrift store (spending), $22 medicine (spending) earned $100 selling bed.

6/10 No drive days

$245/$500 groceries/food
$24/$100 home/garden
$45/$50 alcohol
$0/$100 gas/transportation
$75/$100 entertainment/hobbies/spending

No spend or only unavoidable, budgeted spending like groceries, day care, rent, gas, etc.

Happy 21st, Stephanie! You make me feel so old I hope you have great day - and THEN that we BOTH get a handle on this eating out thing. :

I am having buyer's remorse on the box of Franzia wine. I don't care if my mother doesn't care, she is my guest and I am not giving her the world's crappiest box of wine to drink while she bounces my newborn for hours on end! It's going back to Walmart and I will spend probably the same $$$ for whatever nicer box is on sale at the wine superstore. Ditto the CVS brand silicone scar treatment bandages - they fall off! Back they go!
