My Key-
No Spend
Necessary/Planned Spending
Unnecessary Spending
weekly $$ spending

I really need to reign in my spending this month!! The vaca really took my thriftiness away!! I've been on MDC alot lately looking for recipes for more things I could start making myself on a more regular (read: weekly) basis, like bread, salsa, salad dressing. Alot of the junk i usually buy at the store. I figure, if I start making them myself, i will save $$ in the long run. so the last couple of days has been getting odds and ends that i need to start this venture, like more flour and stuff. I'm also anxiously awaiting the arrival of my new yogurt maker, as other methods i have tried (crockpot, low oven, insulated bag, etc.) have not yielded any successful results. I came home from the store and promptly planned out my next 2 weeks worth of meals, so that I have no excuse for going food shopping!!
No more spend days until Friday (Girls Night In w/ my LLL mamas!!)

5/1- $120 on vacation stuff
5/2- $33 Mother's Day stuff
5/3-
5/4-
5/5-5/10-VACATION
5/11- $185 on groceries + my $40/week
5/12-
5/13- household essentials
5/14-
5/15-
5/16-
5/17- $50 groceries
5/18- $18 more groceries
5/19- $60 on MORE GROCERIES!!!! @$#%&*&^!!

Goal
No spend 6/14/30 days
Groceries/Household $283/$400
Savings $0/$100
Credit Cards $0/$300

Hi,

I am Toni, mother to a 2.5 yr old and 8 mo old. I work almost none now, because things have been very slow at work. I used to work one day a week. I dont want to work outside the home at all. I love raising my girls.

I have been extremely blessed with living in nice homes, making good money. Always being blessed with enough. I dont want to take and take anymore. I want to appreciate what we have by using less and being smart about it. I have wasted so much time.

I want to organize my family and plan and save. Save for a new home, save for a family vacation, save to have security. I also want this to instill discipline into myself and my family.

I guess I just dont know how to get started. . .

Budget? I dont know how to do one.
Cash envelopes? Is that just paying cash for everything?

Any help would be appreciated.

I guess I will just start by saving ALL my reciepts.::

Super mom to a 5 1/2 year old girl, almost 4 yr old girl, and 2 year old boy.
