1/5 parm. garlic chicken, pierogies, broccoli/cauliflour mix

1/10 turkey, mashed taters, corn casserole, biscuits
1/11 leftovers
1/12 frozen pizza for kids, grilled pizza made from leftovers and the 2 remaining flat out bread from fridge
1/13 grilled cheese and tomato soup
1/14 packed and eaten on the road (going out of town)
1/15 out for pizza (out of town)
1/16 fend for yourself
1/17 nacho plate
1/18 spaghetti & meatballs, garlic bread

PLANNED:
1/19 chicken, rice, zuccini, carrots

SAHM to the munchkins (14.5, 11.5, 9.5, 3, and almost 2)

1- homemade pizza, 1 pepperoni and 1 onion, red pepper, black olive. made a white bean soup
2- homemade biscuits and gravy with pot roast leftovers. made "healthy no-bake cookies"
3- chicken & pasta casserole (I had enough for two last week), yummy salad. whole wheat banana bread with flax & ground oatmeal.
4- FFY. linguine marinara for a late lunch...
5- I made my first whole chicken! in the crock, rubbed it with salt, pep & paprika, and set it up in the slow cooker with lemon, garlic and rosemary... kind of like here, but with paprika. - I saved the white bean soup! - Made medium grain brown rice & added frozen peas toward the end.
6- late snack- homemade pizza with roasted eggplant & goat cheese.. a little bit of leftover dough got made into a solitary cinnamon roll sort of thing, for which I even made icing.
7- I made the brown rice with peas again and used some strategic positioning to hide it in the fridge, since it got scarfed down so quickly last time :P leftover chicken, some zucchini... chips and salsa after the baby went to bed...
8- had a yummy salad for lunch, enchiladas with leftover chicken for dinner!
9- Mojadra- lentils and rice (a little salt) topped with seasoned carmelized onions (a little salt, cumin, coriander, pinch of cayenne) and yogurt mixed with dill.
10- pasta with shrimp, leeks, broccoli, and a little red pepper & olive oil. making a cake tonight so it will be ready to frost in the morning... finally baked some super sour sourdough I had in the works for a couple days.... also made banana bread.... as well as cheesecake-swirled brownies ....!
11- lunch out with my dad for my brother's birthday... leftovers, cake, etc.
12- leftovers all day long!!
13- Three Sisters Stew from FtWF- yum!!
14- lentils w/ spinach, roasted carrots
15- leftovers, my mom made a "pizza casserole"
16- made moroccan chicken, baked
17- chicken with eggs for breakfast, pizza with chickpeas, potato soup got started
18- With everyone home today, we made a group effort to eat up all our leftovers for lunch I made a whole crockpot chicken and the lemon & garlic quinoa salad from FtWF (which I kind of messed up- was overseasoned because I left the amt of dressing the same while reducing the amt of quinoa by 1/3, which I also let get too mushy while cooking- still, it) tasted excellent. Meanwhile my mom got to pureeing her potato soup and made it into loaded potato soup, very yummy. Right now I have stock on with the carcass and some carrots and celery. So again we have our leftovers cut out for us
my plan is to eat a lot of the chicken cold on a plate with a hot veg, this is just fine for me & D. Or in a lettuce wrap with provolone. I skipped on the ingredients to make stir fry, don't feel like a casserole either, but we have lots of tortillas so it will probably make a taco or quesadilla filling at some point. Also it would be a hit if I shredded some, mixed it w/ BBQ sauce, and popped it back in the fridge for someone to have a quick bbq sandwich sometime.

5 - Speghetti w/ meatballs & spinach salad
6 - Leftover Jambalaya with extra shrimp from NY dinner.
7 - Beef Stew with rice
8 - Chicken Tikka Masala & sliced mango
9 - Dinner out - StoneFire Pizza for a birthday
10 - BBQ night/Football Sunday (Ribs, BBQ Chicken, Wings, Dips, Chips)
11- Leftovers of football sunday/bbq night with spinach salad.
12 - Brinner for Dinner
13 - Leftover Beef Stew & rice
14 - Leftover Chicken Tikka Masala w/ Rice and leftover honey baked lentils

1st. kids had salmon and veggies and DH and I had leftover from NYE
2nd. ate at dad's house for Christmas but DH got something from Sheetz on the way home since he does not like what she made and did not eat and we live 3 hrs away.
3rd. Applebee's We went for DH's birthday. It is not till Tues and we have bowling that night so we went tonight instead.
4th. Chicken Parmesan
5th DH's Birthday and we ATE at home!! Grilled Chicken with pasta in butter wine sauce DH had lunch out but his bro bought for his b-day
6th perfectly potato chicken and veggies
7th bratwurst with sauteed onions and chips
8th Tacos DH had subway for lunch
9th homemade french onion soup and grilled cheese DH had chick-fil-a for lunch while running errands for me
10th pork chops and veggies went shopping today and made sure i ate before I left so I would not eat out! GO ME!!
11th Hosin chicken lettuce wraps (not a hit) DH had lunch out like usual
12th chop suey
13th had lunch out with kids and dh for dinner kids had leftovers we had buffalo chicken sandwiches
14th dh was gone so kids had nuggets and i had leftovers
15th taco soup
16th ate lunch and dinner out. We went to DC for the day
17th brats and chips
18th pork loin, scalloped potatoes, and corn with apple cake for dessert

I tried this last month, but didn't manage to stick with it too well. All meals are vegetarian.

1. Bean, rice & veggie meat burritos & gorditas
2. Black bean & corn chopped salads
3. Pizza, ice cream & cake to celebrate DS1's birthday.
4. Vegan sausages & gnocchi with broccoli in garlic & oil
5. Grilled chik'n patties, sauteed mushrooms & onions, and roasted sweet & white potatoes.
6. Pineapple & tofu fried rice and tofu massaman curry (yes this was actually take-out, but since I am doing this from a $ saving perspective & I didn't pay for it, I am not counting it )
7. Frozen lasagna, not exactly home cooked but it wasn't eating out either
8. Corn pancakes, bacon & fruit
9. Taking a lasagna to grandma's birthday potluck
10. Dinner at MIL's house
11. Spagetti & TJ's frozen meatless meatballs
12. Going to Ruby's for free kids meal night (planning this for weeks)
13. Potato soup & grilled cheese sandwiches
14. Fend for yourself night
15. Chik'n patties, roasted asparagus & pasta
16. Got a late start to running errands & the kids were starving so we ended up getting Chinese food, atleast we had a gc that paid for 1/2 the meal.
17. Dinner at MIL's house
18. Ginger sesame rice noodles with edamame
19. Pasta fagioli soup & garlic bread (even though I am seriously craving Chipotle's )

We cook vegan...I'll write when not vegan

1. Lunch-leftover enchalada casserole w homemade tomatillo sauce(WICKED!)
Dinner-All you can eat veg sushi-G/C from xmas(I don't count it as eating out)
2. Chickpea potato curry w tossed salad and roasted eggplant
3. Homemade pizza w coleslaw and carrot sticks
4. New meal-chop suey w toasted almonds on rice, roasted eggplant, carrot sticks.
5. I mad a yummy soup based on this curry recipe http://theppk.com/recipes/dbrecipes/...ipeID=143..but changed quite a bit
6. Veggie stir fry with almonds on noodles
7 Homemade pizza AGAIN..ds is on a kick
8. Dh's night to cook-AND HE COOKED! Split pea/10 bean mix soup with tons of veggies. It was really a thick stew. Roasted potatoes, penne noodles(?why? no idea) and salad...
9. Leftover penne noodles w tomato egplant sauce/hemp seeds. With a salad of lettuce/onion/tom./peppers/olives/peas/corn and leftover potatoes
10.Take out veggie burgers
11.Falafel w roasted masala potatoes, roasted cauliflower, corn and tossed salad
12. Sicky mommy means take out daddy...which was a surprise. He did get me my fave soup in the world and clean up the dinner dishes
13. Had no energy to really cook. Ds had leftover thai, I made a quick vegetable soup using leftover chickpeas, leftover rice frm last night.
14. veggie/almond stirfry on millet
15. Dh snuck veggie dogs into the cart. For reasons unknown. So he made dinner of veggie dogs and coleslaw. I despise fake meat. We might do fake meat once every 2 months and we've just done it twice in one week

17. Dd's first birthday party!!! We had a vegetarian fest- avocado/cuke sushi rolls, edamame, dumplings, egg rolls, 2 types of hummus/pita, peanut butter sandwiches, eggsalad sandwiches, cream cheese sandwiches, veggies, spinach dip, deviled eggs, cream cheese/red pepper jelly dip w crackers and vegan vanilla cupcakes to end it I missed out on most the food so Im eating leftovers now

19. Pigeon peas and rice w potatoes/cauliflower/squash all roasted and carrot sticks/sliced tomato/and cuke

Whoops! Haven't been keeping up on the thread, but I'm still going strong. We've only had a few unscheduled lunches out, other than that they only times we've eaten out are included in our budget. I've also lost 7lbs! My desire to eat at home is to save money AND lose weight, it's working!

We cook vegan...I'll write when not vegan

1. Lunch-leftover enchalada casserole w homemade tomatillo sauce(WICKED!)
Dinner-All you can eat veg sushi-G/C from xmas(I don't count it as eating out)
2. Chickpea potato curry w tossed salad and roasted eggplant
3. Homemade pizza w coleslaw and carrot sticks
4. New meal-chop suey w toasted almonds on rice, roasted eggplant, carrot sticks.
5. I mad a yummy soup based on this curry recipe http://theppk.com/recipes/dbrecipes/...ipeID=143..but changed quite a bit
6. Veggie stir fry with almonds on noodles
7 Homemade pizza AGAIN..ds is on a kick
8. Dh's night to cook-AND HE COOKED! Split pea/10 bean mix soup with tons of veggies. It was really a thick stew. Roasted potatoes, penne noodles(?why? no idea) and salad...
9. Leftover penne noodles w tomato egplant sauce/hemp seeds. With a salad of lettuce/onion/tom./peppers/olives/peas/corn and leftover potatoes
10.Take out veggie burgers
11.Falafel w roasted masala potatoes, roasted cauliflower, corn and tossed salad
12. Sicky mommy means take out daddy...which was a surprise. He did get me my fave soup in the world and clean up the dinner dishes
13. Had no energy to really cook. Ds had leftover thai, I made a quick vegetable soup using leftover chickpeas, leftover rice frm last night.

15. Dh snuck veggie dogs into the cart. For reasons unknown. So he made dinner of veggie dogs and coleslaw. I despise fake meat. We might do fake meat once every 2 months and we've just done it twice in one week

17. Dd's first birthday party!!! We had a vegetarian fest- avocado/cuke sushi rolls, edamame, dumplings, egg rolls, 2 types of hummus/pita, peanut butter sandwiches, eggsalad sandwiches, cream cheese sandwiches, veggies, spinach dip, deviled eggs, cream cheese/red pepper jelly dip w crackers and vegan vanilla cupcakes to end it I missed out on most the food so Im eating leftovers now
18. Leftovers frm the birthday party
19. Pigeon peas and rice w potatoes/cauliflower/squash all roasted and carrot sticks/sliced tomato/and cuke
20. Penne w eggplant tomato sauce and adzuki bean balls with olives on top. Ds saw Cloudy with a chance of meatballs while staying w my aunt. So he wanted to try bean balls..didnt go over well

I tried this last month, but didn't manage to stick with it too well. All meals are vegetarian.

1. Bean, rice & veggie meat burritos & gorditas
2. Black bean & corn chopped salads
3. Pizza, ice cream & cake to celebrate DS1's birthday.
4. Vegan sausages & gnocchi with broccoli in garlic & oil
5. Grilled chik'n patties, sauteed mushrooms & onions, and roasted sweet & white potatoes.
6. Pineapple & tofu fried rice and tofu massaman curry (yes this was actually take-out, but since I am doing this from a $ saving perspective & I didn't pay for it, I am not counting it )
7. Frozen lasagna, not exactly home cooked but it wasn't eating out either
8. Corn pancakes, bacon & fruit
9. Taking a lasagna to grandma's birthday potluck
10. Dinner at MIL's house
11. Spagetti & TJ's frozen meatless meatballs
12. Going to Ruby's for free kids meal night (planning this for weeks)
13. Potato soup & grilled cheese sandwiches
14. Fend for yourself night
15. Chik'n patties, roasted asparagus & pasta
16. Got a late start to running errands & the kids were starving so we ended up getting Chinese food, atleast we had a gc that paid for 1/2 the meal.

1- homemade pizza, 1 pepperoni and 1 onion, red pepper, black olive. made a white bean soup
2- homemade biscuits and gravy with pot roast leftovers. made "healthy no-bake cookies"
3- chicken & pasta casserole (I had enough for two last week), yummy salad. whole wheat banana bread with flax & ground oatmeal.
4- FFY. linguine marinara for a late lunch...
5- I made my first whole chicken! in the crock, rubbed it with salt, pep & paprika, and set it up in the slow cooker with lemon, garlic and rosemary... kind of like here, but with paprika. - I saved the white bean soup! - Made medium grain brown rice & added frozen peas toward the end.
6- late snack- homemade pizza with roasted eggplant & goat cheese.. a little bit of leftover dough got made into a solitary cinnamon roll sort of thing, for which I even made icing.
7- I made the brown rice with peas again and used some strategic positioning to hide it in the fridge, since it got scarfed down so quickly last time :P leftover chicken, some zucchini... chips and salsa after the baby went to bed...
8- had a yummy salad for lunch, enchiladas with leftover chicken for dinner!
9- Mojadra- lentils and rice (a little salt) topped with seasoned carmelized onions (a little salt, cumin, coriander, pinch of cayenne) and yogurt mixed with dill.
10- pasta with shrimp, leeks, broccoli, and a little red pepper & olive oil. making a cake tonight so it will be ready to frost in the morning... finally baked some super sour sourdough I had in the works for a couple days.... also made banana bread.... as well as cheesecake-swirled brownies ....!
11- lunch out with my dad for my brother's birthday... leftovers, cake, etc.
12- leftovers all day long!!
13- Three Sisters Stew from FtWF- yum!!
14- lentils w/ spinach, roasted carrots
15- leftovers, my mom made a "pizza casserole"
16- made moroccan chicken, baked
17- chicken with eggs for breakfast, pizza with chickpeas, potato soup got started
18- leftovers for lunch - crockpot chicken - lemon & garlic quinoa salad from FtWF loaded potato soup
19- chicken & grits - sandwiches - homemade yogurt cheese & blueberries - more chicken
20- chicken + tortillas + lettuce, salsa, cream (plain whole yogurt- no difference in my opinion!), pintos (mashed w/ a little of their cooking water, I guess that would be considered refried?).. also had a great variety of fruits earlier in the day, something I noticed our diet had been lacking lately and also stimulated by a visit from a fruit-loving friend.

1-1 bean and cheese burritos
1-2 chicken and wild rice soup for lunch--leftovers for supper
1-3 guacomole burgers for lunch and more leftovers for supper
1-4 miso soup, green salad, edename,rice
1-5 squash, corn, and grilled lamb steak
1-6 DH and I had more burritos and the kids had more burgers
1-7 DH made beef roast, carrots, potatos and gravy
1-8 lentil and chard curry and fresh bread
1-9 spagetti and meatballs (with vension which I usually don't like but these were good), garlic toast
1-10 tandoor chicken with rice and some of the leftover curry as sides

1-12 homemade frozen pizza (last time I made pizza I made an extra) and salad

1-14 We ended up at Famous Dave's which would have been okay, but DH and DS2 went out for lunch too I sort of felt like I fell off the eat at home, flexatarian wagon.

1-16 I made French onion soup for lunch and DS1 made boxed mac and cheese and canned corn for supper (pretty good for only seven)

11. Leftover chicken, green beans and potatoes, maybe a pilaf
12. leftover chicken, squash casserole, pilaf
13. cauliflower cheese pie (moosewood), chicken, squash and two donuts from the grocery store
14. ravioli from a bag plus sauteed chard and mushrooms
15. mongolian grill with the inlaws (their treat!)
16. snacks at my sister plus dinner at a pub with a gift card that I"ve had for over a year. Spent an extra $5 on the tip.
17. can't remember...need to update more often! We've been kind of fending for ourselves lately.

19. had salmon wraps, ds had noodles with sauce
20. made a roast in the crockpot but it wasn't ready for dinner so had pizza on a tortilla, beet salad and other random leftovers
21. roast, I did go out and have dinner with my mom, didn't mean to, but she wanted to so I got a salad and a glass of wine ($20)

11. Smoked salmon and rucola lightly sauteed, on fresh rye bread with butter

14. Dal, frozen pizza, ffy

17. Lamb sausage/cabbage/apple/onion in butter
18. Lamb shoulder stewed with parsnips, rutabaga, carrot, onion, garlic, sage and allspice, boiled potatoes
19. Leftover lamb and veggies in lemon-butter sauce
20. Honey-marinated lamb ribs, brown rice, steamed rutabaga
21. Nachos with pinto beans, avocado, sour cream, salsa, and cheese
22. Curry-carrot-lentil-kidneybean soup

I tried this last month, but didn't manage to stick with it too well. All meals are vegetarian.

1. Bean, rice & veggie meat burritos & gorditas
2. Black bean & corn chopped salads
3. Pizza, ice cream & cake to celebrate DS1's birthday.
4. Vegan sausages & gnocchi with broccoli in garlic & oil
5. Grilled chik'n patties, sauteed mushrooms & onions, and roasted sweet & white potatoes.
6. Pineapple & tofu fried rice and tofu massaman curry (yes this was actually take-out, but since I am doing this from a $ saving perspective & I didn't pay for it, I am not counting it )
7. Frozen lasagna, not exactly home cooked but it wasn't eating out either
8. Corn pancakes, bacon & fruit
9. Taking a lasagna to grandma's birthday potluck
10. Dinner at MIL's house
11. Spagetti & TJ's frozen meatless meatballs
12. Going to Ruby's for free kids meal night (planning this for weeks)
13. Potato soup & grilled cheese sandwiches
14. Fend for yourself night
15. Chik'n patties, roasted asparagus & pasta
16. Got a late start to running errands & the kids were starving so we ended up getting Chinese food, atleast we had a gc that paid for 1/2 the meal.
17. Dinner at MIL's house
18. Ginger sesame rice noodles with edamame
19. Pasta fagioli soup & garlic bread (even though I am seriously craving Chipotle's )
20. Leftovers/whatever you can find night
21. Bean, rice & chik'n burritos
22. Vegan ribz sandwiches, cole slaw & corn
