1.) Roast Chicken, Brussel Sprouts, Ginger Carrots for lunch and Hummus and Chips, honey popsicles for dinner
2.) Left over Roast Chicken, baked potatoes, and brussel sprouts (DP/DS lunch $9)
3.) (DP and DS away) - left over chicken, ginger carrots, brussel sprouts

5.) (DP and DS away) - Meetza and chips on the road!
6.) Visiting MA - Lunch out $6 for DP and DS and Hamburgers and homemade fries for dinner
7.) Visiting MA - breakfast out $15 sadly not worth it and Chili dogs and salad for dinner
8.) Chicken Picatta and green beans
9.) BBQ Chicken Taco's and Chicken Soup
10.) Lunch Puerto Rican Out $10 and Chips and Hummus with Chicken for dinner
11.) Left over Puerto Rican and Chicken Picatta
12.)
13.)

I think that the goal is to spend less than $100 in food out this month.
$40/$100

I don't know how much I can complain about the $10 for the puerto rican food. I have served 8 meals so far (DS and I have had 3 meals: Lunch, Dinner, and Lunch and DP had Lunch and Dinner) out of the small chicken stew and rice, beans and pulled pork platter. I have enough for 2 more servings if I serve a side dish.

I'm going to try to do this in March(and in the future hopefully). Dh was laid off this week, so we need to lower the budget and eat from the pantry and freezer.

I changed the meal plan a few days this week from the original plan but we are still eating in with no ordering out!
1- Chinese Take-Out
2- Quick Zesty Chili with rice and tortilla strips
3- Chicken Sandwiches, Baked Fries
4- Chicken Alfredo with Broccoli and Pesto, chopped salads, garlic toasts
5- Spaghetti with meat sauce, salad,
6- FFY (I had a turkey burger, DH and children had mac and cheese)
7- Broiled Sirloin, Baked Potatoes, Green Beans
8- Slow Cooker Beef Tips, Rice, Corn, Butter Beans, Cornbread
9- Chicken Spaghetti, Salad, Green beans
10-Red pepper and Parmesan Tilapia, Red Bell Pepper and Zucchini Couscous, Lemon-Garlic Broccoli
11-Cajun Yellow Rice Skillet with shrimp and smoked sausage, lemon pepper broccoli, ciabatta garlic rolls
12-Tostadas(with ground turkey and green chilies), chips, salsa
13- Brats, baked fries, baked beans (I work 12 hour shift so DH cooks)
14- Hamburger Stroganoff, sweet peas, corn muffins, salad (another 12 hour shift for me)
15- Subway (long day)
16- Chinese Takeout (OOPS!)
17- Oven fried pork chops, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, green beans, spicy collard greens

Planned:
18- leftovers
19- Stuffed Shells (made with ground turkey and spinach), salad, garlic rolls

I'm in. I kind of fizzled last month, but I want to do better in March!

1. leftover roast with pepper, onions and cream cheese. Kind of a fajita/philly cheese steak combo if you will.
2. Baked trout, salads
3. leftover trout, quinoa pancakes, green beans
4. noodles with sauce, leftover trout, green beans
5. out with DPs parents, they usually foot the bill
6. leftovers, went to a party, also made some beans in the crockpot
7. went to a friend's for dinner
8. mini pizza, cauliflower saute, leftovers
9. pork chops, yam fries, Brussels sprouts
10. teriyaki chicken, rice, broccoli, swiss chard
11. leftovers, I had a can of soup
12. veggie, chicken and bean "chili"-ish kind of thing. It was good!
13. went out with a gift card
14. taco salads
15. grilled salmon, potatoes, salad
16. rice with zucchini tomato sauce and cheese, peas and hot dogs
17. tried out the new taco place in town
18. scallop stir fry
19. tostadas
20. leftovers

I have a bunch of stuff soaking(beans, oats, nuts we are tf) and a roast cooking right now and I think what I decided is that I just need to start soaking stuff and pull stuff out of the freezer without necessarily an idea in mind. Otherwise, there will be nothing to eat! Also I think it would be helpful to have an idea in mind of different types of dinners, like soup one night, stir fry one nice, italian, mexican, and so on. And maybe at the beginning of the week make up a bunch of beans and a roast or a chicken. That way I have lots of options for the week. Ok those were just my personal notes so I don't forget!
