New thread!

This is the place to be to hold yourself accountable for eating at home instead of out. And also to be inspired by everyone's menus!

I like that, LizzQ! Same here! My husband isn't vegan, but my boys and I are so we tend to eat on leftovers for quite a while!

1. Spaghetti with french green lentils and shredded zucchini in the sauce and a homemade roll (we bake them halfway and then freeze them for quick 'fresh' bread in the evenings)
2. Couscous with mixed veggies, brown lentils, sunflower seeds, and a homemade roll
3. More spaghetti leftovers
4.

I'm back again - February was a brutal month to our budget and we decided not to stick to the planned menu. Here's to March & a better month all around.

March

1 - Ribs with French Fries & salad
2 - Leftovers from homemade Chinese night
3 - Dinner out ala steak & shake
4 - Homemade pizza with GF crust (DH not a fan) me - pretty good
5 - Considering thai, indian or jambalya...

Hey! This could be an accountability thread for me!

We eat out a SHAMEFUL amount. Like, really, I'm embarrassed to say how much and how often. But DH and I had a good, productive talk about this and other $$$$$ issues last weekend and I just decided. I HAVE TO COOK MORE. Especially from the pantry.

So my goals are very small. I decided not to eat out any this week. And it's Friday and I made it!!! I know, I know, not a big deal to most of you, but HUGE for me.

Please don 't flame me for the amount of pre-made and packaged food we eat. First of all, I decided to start small and easy. Secondly, I made this decision to cook without actually going to the store and menu planning, so I was flying by the seat of my pants a bit.

1- Misc. frozen chicken breasts (different for me, DH, and DS to use up the stuff in the freezer)
2- Leftovers
3- Bertolli dinner kit and popcorn shrimp
4- Hamburger Nests http://www.recipezaar.com/Hamburger-Nests-209579
5- Leftovers

We have a turkey in the freezer taking up a ton of space- maybe we'll do that tomorrow before the weather warms up...

Sleepy mama to Colin Theodore 8-12-08 and Trevor Arthur 7-17-12.
