Where do you buy large quantities of flour? I don't need enough to run a bakery or anything, just enough to feed a family of four. I bake a lot and we seem to go through tons.
I get packages of 2 10# bags of organic flour at Costco for less than I pay for conventional at Kroger. They also have 50# bags but I don't want to deal w/ storing that much.
3rd costco. We are able to get 25lb organic flour at a pretty reaasonable rate here (like *8 more than convential flour) plus its a pretty stnadard size so I was able to find a restaurant grade storage container to hold it pretty easily at a supply store
Hmmm...we don't have a costco membership, we have BJ's. I wonder if any of my friends have costco. I haven't checked prices at BJ's in a while, maybe they are comparable.
Keep an eye out for grocery store sales, especially around the holidays. My store had a sale on Gold Medal flour for $1/5# bag. So I got 30 lbs of flour for $6 (15lbs unbleached white and 15 lbs whole wheat!)
