We have communal laundry rooms where I live (student family housing) and there is a large box in each of the four laundry rooms for clothing and household items that people are giving away. It's a kind of freecycle, I suppose.

I have gotten most of my wardrobe from the laundry rooms. Our community is very international so there are some really unique pieces that get put in the boxes. Every now and then I take my kids 'shopping' and we do the rounds and they get to bring home something - toy, shirt, etc. My 3yo's wardrobe has come from those rooms and many of our toys and games. I also find gifts for friends having babies and sometimes some really good books!

When I'm feeling really low, I find it's a wonderful pick me up.

Goodies in the bathroom--lavendar bath salts, good quality shampoo and conditioner, jojoba or avocado oil, organic makeup, All Good Goop (http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B003MUQRWU/ref=redir_mdp_mobile), non-chemical good quality hair dye, any or all of the above never fails to make me feel "rich" smile.gif

-a nice selection of different high quality tea

-being able to take day trips to places like the zoo, discovery museum, the beach, movies or any other fun place.
