Long story short, I have three overdraft fees in my account right now and I am currently 127 bucks in the hole! I know its my own darn fault but 35 bucks per item seems so high to me. Does anyone bank somewhere where overdraft fees are less then that (we are at wells fargo). Also has anyone ever had luck getting overdraft fees reversed?

Try going into the bank and trying to work something out.  Don't be hscared to shed some tears.    I have had wells fargo reverse fees for me.  Ty will probably require you to set up an overdraft account open an overdraft credit card etc so it does not happen again.  It helps if you do other business with them and have a relationship with a banker.  It is worth a shot.  They want to keep their good customers.

$35 is pretty standard and if you overdraft that means you have probably accepted the terms at some point. Most banks will reverse a minimum of 1 per year, often more. Going in person will really help you, in my experience from working in banking. And you can choose to let them know you do not agree to the terms of overdraft and next time the transaction you are trying to put through will be denied.

My bank, if you call them, and have never done it before, they will reverse up to three fees one time per year. Try calling their customer service, as most branches (if they are a chain especially) cannot do anything in their 'store'.

Just and update--I called and they refunded half of each of the three overdraft fees, Plus half of one from last month! Guess it pays to call and ask!

Its always worth it to ask!

Glad to hear they were willing to work with you.  I really recommend setting up one or two overdraft safety nets.  Mine takes first from my savings (which is free) and secondly from a credit card attached to my checking account.  this is $10 per transaction plus whatever interest if I don't pay it off in 30 days.  No matter what it is better than bouncing checks or having over draft fees (and at the end of the day anything is better than a bounced check.  Even an overdraft fee.)
