Ohhh thanks for this!  I just bought the cupcake set for DD, the band in a box for both my nephew and a set for my cousins DD, the cutting food for her other DD, the pizza set for yet her other DD. Our limit is $10 and I averaged $6 for everyone but DD!!!!  Yay!  Plus it is just done!!!!

Ooh! Thank you! We wanted to get DD the wooden workbench awhile back, but it was a little above our price limit. It was a steal at $50 with the discount codes.

Thank you so much for posting this!  I was able to get the same things.  Chickadee has been wanting the Band In A Box for a while (one of the grocery stores has it in the children's play area), but this price is much nicer!

Jill - thanks for tht link and codes!  I don't have anyone this year that can use the four sets I bought for $23, but I can happily store them until next year!  Look at me...all ready for Christmas 2012!!

Cookies or a special coffee cake, or peanut butter bird seed feeders might be nice. Or home made infused vodka if they imbibe.

I'm thinking about making some of Pioneer Woman's cinnamon rolls to give away to friends.  She has an orange marmalade variation of them too.

I had to pass this on.... I got my daughter a watch for $3.16 on this site. They are a bit commercial but for this price, I can handle that. They have Hello Kitty, Angry Birds, Ben 10, Spiderman and some others. I can't remember all of them but the majority of them are under $5 with free shipping. I got mine in a little under a week and DD will love it. smile.gif

My kids are always swiping my hot water bottle, so I just ordered one for each of them; cheapest price ($5.55) I've seen on them so thought I'd share :)  I'm going to sew some berber fleece or sherpa covers for them so theyre super cozy

Jeri - thanks for that link!  I was able to get a few watches for some Kindergarten friends for Christmas.  They'll be a huge (and cheap) hit!

You're welcome! They are really cute too... Be warned, they don't come in any kind of box or anything (just a bubble wrap mailer) but for that price, I don't care. I'm going to be ordering a lot more in the next week or 2, myself! Enjoy! smile.gif

I posted about this in Diggin in the Earth, but thought I'd mention it here too -

Seed Saver's Exchange is having a 50% off sale on the remaining 2011 seed stock. For those that aren't familiar with SSE, they're a seed house that focuses on preserving heirloom and heritage varieties (open pollinated; never GMO). They still have a nice selection left, and you can get a lot of deals for around $0.65 per packet.

This would be a great way to stock up on seeds for the budding gardener, or homeschooling nature projects.

Kids get one big gift from us and stocking stuffers.  There will be a few homemade items.  Even when I have the money I can't see giving so much when so many have so little!

Thanks!  It will be fun to put some seed packs in my dh's stocking, since he likes to garden.

Just wanted to add that the $10 free credit deal runs THRU Monday 11/28. AND they added new items today in new shops, so there are even more options for gift giving.

I was able to get to JoAnn's this weekend and bought almost everything I needed for the gifts I am making for $33.  I saved $52!!!  I felt like I was robbing the store.

I start buying gifts at the end of summer when I see something on sale really cheap that I know my kids will like. I buy art supplies for stocking stuffers at the $1 store. A few of my friends and I exchange homemade gifts every year. I love it because I feel special but it doesn't have to cost anything. We also exchange homemade ornaments for our trees.

I was doing pretty good staying on budget until my 4 year old son informed me that he really really wanted night vision.  I am indulgent- but frugal.  Target had it for $50 but Amazon had it for $23.  For $23 I can be a little indulgent.  I love  love love amazon.

Did anyone else's Bloomingdales M&D order get changed?  MIne was backordered- then part was cancelled.  I received the rest but was wondering if I was the only one this happened to?

^^^ They didn't put one of my items in the box and when I called they told me it was out of stock when I ordered.  So I sent feedback via their email system that they shouldn't offer to sell something if they don't have access to it.
