Saw this on CNN.  Buy now, as they've had a horrible harvest and most major brands will be increasing their prices bigtime.

I have a good stockpile - got it almost free at back to school time- but I will try to get more before the end of the month.  DS loves his peanut butter cookies.  I can not afford an increase in prices.

I purchased a case of JIF back in September when it was on sale at my favorite low cost store. I just picked up 4 jars at Target using my target 75cents off two coupons.


Pax, loving wife since 2001, Mother of DD1 (11 1/2) and DD2 (8). Entering our 4th year of Homeschooling: Eclectic mix of curriculum and child interest lead. Backyard urban chicken chasers. 10/2014 items purged.

If you can, buy in bulk from Azure Standard.
We are going to just buy bulk raw peanuts and soak/dehydrate and grind our own. That will cost us about $1.50 per pound.

I wonder if organic pb is the same story?  We dont eat Jif or skippy because of the oils and sugar.

Thanks for the heads up! DS definitely loves his peanut butter sandwiches. Looks like I'm off to the grocery store today.

ugh, we go through 3-5 jars of PB a week!!  I already pay a lot since we only eat natural PB - no added sugar or oils allowed.  I wonder if Im just better off buying peanuts and doing it myself.
