I was reading the Frugality And Finances Resources article on Mothering.com (http://www.mothering.com/community/a/frugality-and-finances-resources) and saw under food assistance listed the SHARE food assistance program (here's the link for the California one http://www.goldensharefoods.com/) and how its not income dependant. From what I understand, its basically bulk ordering food and then people in the community get to buy the food at the bulk order prices.
Has anyone used it? What's the quality of food like? I'm going to start a local CSA veggie box and I'm looking into a fish one as well, so I don't need veggies or fish.

The baking packages around the holidays were well worth it.
