I live in the middle of nowhere and can only get 1 phone service Frontier that I have found I can only get Hughes Net internet and they are both so expensive.  I'm looking for any ideas I contacted Magic Jack and they dont recommend it for satellite.  I live in Southern Indiana any ideas to help cut my bills???  I dont have cell phone because theres no service in the valley I live in.

TIA

Tina

I have no help for you, just wanted to let you know I am in the same boat except I cant get a home phone line so our only option is cell phones, and they barely work out here. And we have internet through Wild Blue and its so expensive! and has a cap on usage so it really sucks.

Go without them and/or cut costs in every other area in your budget to make up for it.

Don't know if this list might be helpful.... http://www.usac.org/ls/CompanyListing.aspx?state=IN&stateName=Indiana

There's also the Universal Service discount: http://transition.fcc.gov/wcb/tapd/universal_service/lowincome.html

For internet, can you use the library? Far from ideal, I know, but I did it for several years & it wasn't horrible... and eventually I got a laptop with wireless connection so I could go into (or stay just outside, even) businesses & coffee shops with wireless networks to do all my internet work.

Co-sleeping is really wonderful when your child actually SLEEPS!! familybed1.gif
