Bleh, apparently my computer hates me right now.  I'm just going to post like this until my computer decides to be my friend again.

5/8-$18 (larabars-my dad bought them for me on senior discount day) $39.22 (Trader Joe's birthday dinner food and veggies) $50.27 (gas) $1.98 (Starbucks frappaccino for DD)

5/9-No spend

5/10-$6.00 bottle of wine

5/11-No spend

5/12-$1.00 tip at local fast food restaurant after getting a free milkshake for mother's day

5/13-$31.40 (butter, diapers, 7th generation dishsoap and detergent-all discounted for anniversary sale)

5/1-No spend joy.gif

5/2- $7 (larabars and coconut milk), $13.18 (two packs of diapers for DS), $16.98 (grassfed ground beef ($2.99/lb!))-all technically 'necessary spending' Total: $37.16

5/3 No Spend joy.gif

5/4 No Spend joy.gif Went to the zoo and it turned out they were having a Children's Safety Awareness Program and we got a free helmets for DD and DS (he can't wear his yet but it's good to have) and I found out about how to get them free swim lessons this summer (so glad we decided to go!)

5/5-$3.29 Spiffy Xylitol teeth wipes for DS the whole order was $23.29, but I had $20 in Amazon gift cards, so I feel pretty good about that.

5/6 No spend joy.gif

5/7-$39.43 Grocery Outlet (12 1/2 lb coffee, sunflower seed milk, mangoes), $15.74 Target (Sandals, flip-flops, 2 sippy cups for DS), $6.93 local grocery store (pepperoni, organic milk)-I'm not thrilled with the spending I did, but I feel I can justify it all as necessary Total: $62.10.

Stay-at-home Mama to my fabulous DD (10/08)  and DS (9/12) and wife to my just-as-fabulous DH

I need to get a few graduation gifts this week.  One college and one high school.  I'd like to do something crafty, but nothing is jumping out at me right now.  I might just do a blank journal for each and some nice pens?  I don't want to spend a ton of money, but I want to get them each something nice that they'd use.  Gonna try to not spend any money besides that this week.

Another planned no spend day. biggrinbounce.gif This challenge was so hard to do when I first joined in January, to the point where the stress of constant monitoring became a bit too much and I had to quit. But like anything else in life, it becomes routine/normal/a non event with enough patience and practise. I'm so thankful for these ongoing threads (and for joining in Jan), they helped to put me on the right track and stopped my wasteful spending.. Even DH is getting on board.

5/14: unbudgeted spending Sheepish.gif $29 Target

I'm calling today unbudgeted, because while it was planned spending, I had to take money out of my gas budget to cover it.  Once I'm caught up on paychecks, I'll be fine, but for now, it's unbudgeted.  I bought graduation gifts for the parties I'm going to this weekend and a spray bottle that I need for my classroom.  Really hoping this is the end of my spending until groceries this weekend.  Mother's Day gifts threw me off this month big time--I was doing great before that!  At least I'm buying gifts for others instead of spending on myself, though, right? ;)

5/8-$18 (larabars-my dad bought them for me on senior discount day) $39.22 (Trader Joe's birthday dinner food and veggies) $50.27 (gas) $1.98 (Starbucks frappaccino for DD)

5/9-No spend joy.gif

5/10-$6.00 bottle of wine

5/11-No spend joy.gif

5/12-$1.00 tip at local fast food restaurant after getting a free milkshake for mother's day

5/13-$31.40 (butter, diapers, 7th generation dishsoap and detergent-all discounted for anniversary sale)

5/14-$5 Dollar Tree (soup dispensers, floss, bars of soap, bubbles for DD)

5/15-$20 (butter, bananas, tea)

5/16-No spend joy.gif

5/17- $75 Health Food Store (had gluten-free food 1/2 off, stocked up on everything) $12 Trader Joe's (salad, carrots, freeze dried mango for DS)

5/18-$20 Farmer's Market (face paint for DD, Veggies, Strawberries, gift for Father's Day for my Dad)

5/19-$21 Health Food Store (more gluten-free stuff)

Bleh, not doing very well this week, it feels like everyday there's something I need to get and we still really need to get some new batteries for a smoke alarm.  Oh, well, we'll try for better next week.

Stay-at-home Mama to my fabulous DD (10/08)  and DS (9/12) and wife to my just-as-fabulous DH

I also bought a plane ticket today for my trip to Oregon this summer.  Not counting that toward spend/no spend/whatever.  My finances are totally screwy right now with moving and paying a new security deposit and getting my disability backpay.  I am just really going to try to stick to my normal budget as much as possible.

Not even gonna try to figure out how much I spent, but I went a little crazy.  Summertime hanging in Boulder will do that to me!  The next few weeks are gonna be a little crazy, too, as I'm moving on 6/7, so I may not be posting a ton.  Hoping that once I'm settled in my new place things will mellow out again and I can focus on not spending ;)
