We all got a stomage bug so no friends over (The big day of Christmas is Christmas Eve here in Sweden) but thankfully we were in good enough condition to eat some food I prepared a couple of days before the bug today and our daughter loved the presents she got. I did buy a quite expensive doll pram which felt like an excess at the time but she loved it so now it feels like it was worth it.

There will be no church tomorrow but perhaps I will feel well enough to sneak out to the shops tomorrow to get the things that we have run out of. I will prepare the Christmas ham (the ham we were supposed to have today) tomorrow or the day after. Despite our problems it was a very nice day today.

I got a slowcooker from my husband which I have been dying to have to be able to prepare meals and come home from work with supper ready. I will just see how much I like it now that I got it. He got a subscription to a magazine which he was very happy about too. We rarely get to buy magazines and this is a specialized car magazine which he always picks up but ends up not buying to cut the costs so I am very glad to be able to give him something like that. I found the subscription online for a reduced price which is the reason I could buy it.

Christmas Eve- presents are wrapped, under the tree. Kiddo is plugging along, slow but still going.

2014 is ending on a bad note. le sigh.

Merry Christmas everyone! Making Christmas dinner here - turkey with the fixings & chess pie for dessert.

Doing okay here. Things are tight, but we are okay and that is what matters. Hopefully 2015 will be better.

Christmas was crazy but fun. Until around 9pm when I was hit with a stomach bug. I proceeded to puke, run a fever, and sleep for sixteen hours. I'm still wobbly today but my house looks like a disaster so I'm cleaning as I can. I'm rethinking hosting plus all the gifts next year, bah.

Double-whammy at work. They cut my hours by 25% for the week after next, which basically says that they're doing everything in their power to stop me from getting full time. They also didn't give me the day off I needed for my toddler's appointment- I got it sorted out, but it was still awful.

I was devastated when I first saw my schedule, but I managed to calm down about it fairly quickly. Being upset would only hurt me, it'd have no effect on them. I need a new job and knew I did. I was planning on applying for food stamps this week anyways. I can use the extra time off of work to focus on job searching. With any luck my days off next week will align with a job fair, which I'll take as a sign.

I suppose I've been waiting for that last straw where I give up any hope of this job working, and now it's finally come. I said that I was going to give it until January, and it's about 3 days until New Year.

Obviously I'm not going to quit, even if I find a job I'll keep it for awhile to make sure that the new job works out. But I was really clinging to hope that I could turn this job into what my family needs and I've finally let it go.

I'm having a really hard time with desperately wanting to have another baby and not knowing when we're going to financially be in a good place for it...
