My wells Fargo bank account is overdrawn, However i recently got a check i could use to clear it. Furthermore, i have to pay for my sat's next month. So my question is can i make an account with another bank and use it without any problems?
I fully intend to pay my debt to wells Fargo once i can afford it.
the deadline to pay for the sat's is the 12th and the test truly determines my future.
When you go to cash the check, request the amount you need for the sats in cash, then deposit the rest. They might give you a look, but you'll get the money.
If the account is overdrawn, they may not be willing to give cash back. It's also possible that you would not be able to open an account at another bank if you have any bad checks or an account that's been overdrawn for a while.
Can you cash the check at the bank on which it was drawn, pay for your SATs, and then deposit the rest?
They will cash a check drawn on their bank, otherwise you can maybe use an online option like ally but you should be able to open a new acct. if it hasn't gone to collections I'd think.
If they have closed or locked the account, you might have issues cashing the check, but if the account is still active, they will cash it and give you cash back.
