I hate the end of the month. I hate feeling so pressed for money. Dh gets paid on the first of the month and that's it. The end of the month gets dicey sometimes. Gas prices are hitting us hard. Higher gas prices are going to mean higher grocery prices too. Next month will probably be tough too. We may have to dip into savings to get through the rest of the month. Thank goodness for tax returns!

Our car is falling apart and I don't even want to think about that.

I am pretty sure we have enough groceries for the rest of the month, except maybe bread.

mama. I completely understand that stressful feeling. DH was laid off last week due to a co. merger, and while we prepared ourselves for it, the fact is, we have a limited income coming in. DH is job hunting and doing what he needs to and he's filed his unemployment, but unemployment doesn't pay his full salary . We're cutting costs and making the sacrifices, but still feeling the strain.

we're paid once a month as well and it's not easy! It's really hard to plan for an entire month, especially when unexpected things come up.

I don't really have any good advice, just wanted to say that you're not alone out there.

Hang in there! When I was employed w a paycheck, I too was paid once a month and I remember some people I worked w who had it tough those last few days before payday.

Start doing a real pantry challenge. Maybe read over there to get some ideas to stretch what you have.

I agree, the gas thing will hurt you. But ration that out and after you get paid, think of what you can do to stretch you dollar next month so you will be ready for the thinner days coming up. Good luck and many hugs.
