I did a search and read in an old thread that ING was giving 10$ to new account openers, and 5 $ to the person who referred them. Is this still going on? Spam me if you want..

The last one I did was more than that, actually- $25 to open and $10 to the referrer. I can give you a referral if you don't have any friends you want to have the cash; I just need your e-mail address.

I actually opened my account yesterday!

In order to get the $25 in your account, you have to start your account with $250.
Then $10 goes to the person that referred you.

Yeah you need to have an established checking account and open with at least $250. If you get a referral from someone you know you get a free $25 at account opening. Then you can make $250 more by referring your friends. You can even refer people in your own house and get the referral money. $25 to them $10 to you. Plus it pays 3.8%APY which is a great rate for a savings account. I've been using it for 6 months now and love doing my banking online, and it's more secure with online banking and logging on to view your statements than a traditional bank which sends your statements through the mail. If anyones interested in opening an account and you don't know a friend who can refer you, just email me and I will send you a referral if you want. I'm online often so I will send you one fairly quickly. [email protected]

The $250 has to be new because there was no minimum when I opened all of ours. I have referrals if anyone needs one...free $25
