Here is how to cook beans quickly. It is called the freezer method. Soak Beans in water over night. In the morning drain, pat dry and spread thinly on a baking sheet. Freeze. Put the frozen beans in a zip lock freezer bag. Take out what you need as you need it. Throw 'em in plain boiling water. Wait 20 to 30 minutes, and done. It might take longer with soybeans or garbonzos, say 45 min. While they cook you can chop up veggies.
