AP Mom to 5
Kentuckydoulamam, if he is disabled, I bet he can get social security. That would help.
I was just searching online again for a job that fits my very limited availability.
FINALLY a p/t job on the unit I really want is open to apply for!
I've been checking and checking for an opening for a long time.
3rd shift, only 6 hrs a week (This is a good thing....have to get my foot in the door here at this hospital, VERY hard to get a job there) as a tech/cna on the mother baby unit.
6 hrs a week is nothing in terms of $, but like I said, if I got it, then my foot is in the door and I'd have the advantage of being an employee already on the unit when a better opening comes up.
So. Today I'll be making a resume, though its difficult when you dont have much work experience or work history. I have to contact two of my previous nursing instructors to ask if I can use them as a reference.
Would you all pray that I get this resume done well and that I get the job?!?!
Honestly I dont have much hope in getting it, but would love any positive thoughts and prayers. Maybe there arent too many other people interested in working 3rd shift only 6 hrs/week. Plus, its the same facility I'm currently doing my clinicals at (though we are on a different floor) maybe that will help. Ohhh.....I can ask my current clinical instructor for a reference too since she works there!!!!! Hopefully that will help!
I'll probably submit my application on Tuesday.
