Okay, I'm a newbie here so be nice....
I have derailed! We ordered Domino's for lunch yesterday and had Wendy's for lunch today!
We are having a hard time adjusting to ministry pay. My dh makes about 60% what he used to make, though he was laid off for awhile which makes the ministry pay a huge blessing!
Currently, I am on bedrest/house arrest for a partially prolapsed ute after the birth of my fifth child in October. That makes it doubly hard to eat cheap but easier to stay out of the stores.
I'm reading this thread w/great interest. I think I'll start tomorrow...
anniej, I do that, too, and I figured out that it wasn't spending the money that was compelling, it was having something new, and that it didn't really have to be new, just new to me, and that after that newness wore off, I didn't much care, so I started checking out things from the library and it's SO MUCH BETTER now.
michelle524 - how well do you like selling to secondspin & cash4books??? I have a ton of cd's and books that they will buy - I've just been hesitant to sell to them because I know nothing about them.
Nov 2: spent $60 on groceries for the week and $4 for lunch out
Nov 3: spent $10 to go to the public pool as a family $17 for chinese dinner-all well within our entertainment budget
Nov 4: spent $9 on groceries (still well within my weekly grocery budget) spent $1.75 on the sunday paper (dug change out of the couch)
Nov 5: i did spend money but i am counting it because i dug it out of the bottom of my purse. i spent $1 on fries and Mcd's for a snack w/DS and .50 cents to feed the fish at the park, a pretty cheap fun afternoon IMO
Nov 6: $4 out to lunch with SIL in my free cash budget
Nov 9: $68 groceries in budget
Nov 13: $13 on breakfast.......$8 on lunch $5 rec center admission
$75/week grocery 2/4
only fill up the tank 1/week 1/4
pack lunch everyday for everyone 23/44
less than $10 spent eating lunch out
once a week with my son 2/4
I have more schoolwork to do tonight and tomorrow, so those will be no-spend days hopefully other than 1 mystery shop I have tomorrow. I have a $5 survey to do tonight, and materials to watch for another survey for $15.
What kind of mystery shopping do you do, and where do you do your surveys? You may have answered it before, I know someone did...
