Congratulations on the new little babe! The money stuff is most definitely secondary to people; sure everything will work out.

Anyone hitting up the day after Christmas sales? I wish I was, but it's a good thing DF took our car to work so I can't! I honestly can't even think of anything we *need* so it's not a deal if you didn't even need it in the first place, right?

Sorry I have been MIA, I had a ton of knitting to finish for the kids gifts and I am still working my fingers to the bone for a birthday knit for ds3 and my parents/sis gifts and inlaw gifts. I might be done by February lol We have been no spend though and I feel like we have done so well this month and hopefully I can keep a little stashed in the savings acct, something I haven't been able to do since Oct when it got spent. I know tomorrow will be a grocery spend day to buy the last minute items we need for our big dinner on Friday (our friends and my inlaws) and I am sure we will be buying pizza one night since my fil always insists on a pizza when they visit, but hopefully he will pay for it and maybe even the gas to get them to and from the airport as they aren't renting a car this time around and the airport is over an hour away.

I was thinking the same thing, that it would be nice to hit the sales. But you're totally right, I don't need anything, so there's no use in going.

I actually did end up going to Target today : We needed a couple of folding chairs because we were having company over, again, and not enough chairs to seat them. I drove over there after DF got home from work and I used the rest of our GC to buy some chairs and I also ended up picking up three rolls of wrapping paper, some tape, a couple ornaments for the girls for next year and some thank you cards. I did pretty good and put lots of stuff back that I wanted to buy. Good, no?

I took my Christmas goal off my list, as well. I am soooo glad we were able to come in just under budget. Wheeee!!!! I am rockin' December!

My 3 yo just started playing games so this was a fun treat. It was this game and in basically new condition with all of the pieces! Yay! And only $1.50. So, that was all I spent today. It earned me a but it was worth it.

My name is Jennifer and I am a SAHM with one 2 1/2 yr old son and another boy on the way :0)
I want to spend less because we just calculated our debt and are over $20,000 in debt
We have made up a budget and we are using quicken to keep track of everything. I really overspent this Christmas and I know alot of our overspending is my fault from driving too much to eating out or buying lattes
So my goals are :
1. stick to the budget
2. drive less
3. don' use CC
4. stop shopping online (a hard one for me)
5.keep track of all spending
