I am so upset with myself, I have made really bad choices all month. We have just been spending like crazy on food. Actually a lot of the overspending in groceries has been due to the purchase of alcohol and "party food" because we went to a friends house to watch the Master's this weekend. I have also fallen into some old bad habits like when I bought all that wine at Trader Joe's the other day. I just like to see the wine rack full so I bought a bunch of wine even though we literally can't afford it! I also have eaten out twice unnecessarily
Not to mention the money I blew at the salon getting my hair done. I just feel really bad about myself right now, I'm disappointed in my actions. The worst part of all of this is that everything you see here has gone on credit card. Our paychecks have only been enough to pay our bills this month, that will change next month but it was so important to be frugal this month and I have blown it big time.
The one good thing I have done is I have been cleaning and ironing all of DH's shirts at home instead of taking them to the dry cleaners.
I feel like a failure.
My goal for the rest of the month is to truly only spend on those things that are absolutely necessary, clear out the fridge and pantry, only DH drives and absolutely no more spending on myself or on alcohol, I don't care if we go to a BBQ or whatever, we can bring one of the many bottles of wine I bought at Trader Joe's.
Thanks for listening to me and congratulations to everyone else that is doing a good job.
