$10 on a mother's day gift and $18 for mother's day lunch
$11.87 groceries
$140 on new cell phones and contract renewal. I know I know! However, hubby's phone was broken so he did need a new one, and we got him the cheapest one - they just really get you on those taxes. I could have kept using mine but I was able to get a unbelievable deal through my work for the phone I wanted and I did get some birthday money so . . . I went ahead and bought it.

01: $1 on biscuits for midwife visit, $3 on ice lollies etc for the kids.

02: Was doing really well this morning and then caved in and bought the kids chocolate after school -$1. Our kitchen really badly needs cleaning so I didn't want to make dinner in there so we ate out - $30. I then went to the store for cleaning products, milk and some muffins we didn't need - $15.

03: No spend and no drive!

04: Took the boys swimming - $18 for all of us. We packed snacks for the way home but we needed some fruit and meat, so spent $18 at Aldi.

05: Spent $40 on groceries which included a picnic for day out today. DH spent $4 on sweets for the kids at the museum but the money was actually from a neighbour. DS1 asked for ice cream but didn't get, so I wasn't as weak as usual! (And I wanted one too!!)

06: So pleased with myself - took the kids to the park after school and did not cave in and buy them sweets/choc/ice cream en route! No spend.

07: Did a grocery shop - $100, which is within budget and included diapers for nighttime. Prior to this, spent $3 on treats to quieten DS2 who was driving me crazy! But this will come from the grocery budget. Took DS1 and DS2 to the park after school but did not spend on drinks/ice cream so feel fairly good about the day's spending.

08: Today is my birthday!! And it's also a no spend day!! We did get take out for dinner but my MIL sent the cash for that as my birthday gift, so technically not expenditure AFAIC. Feeling pretty pleased with myself!

09: $4 groceries - mostly necessary plus a little treat for my big bump!! We went to the park after school but I turned DS1's pleas for ice cream/sweets etc down. We may go for ice cream tomorrow as a weekend treat

10: $40 haircut - an annual event so don't feel too bad about that plus I had birthday money to spend. $6 on birthday cards, toilet paper and storage tubs. $20 on groceries and some labour foods for me and for my kids to take to their babysitter's when the time comes, $2 raspberry leaf tea......So, hardly a no spend day but it could have been way worse.

11: $50 on a meal out - $40 of that was a gift from my MIL for my birthday, so our expenditure was technically $10. To have a nice trip out and no dishes, I'm happy with that.

12: $2 card for my brother - shouldn't have bought that, cards are one thing I am trying not to buy as homemade is just as nice and costs virtually nothing. $3 treats for kids and soda for me - again, should have said no. $10 groceries - really overspent on fancy stuff from an expensive shop, this stuff just lasted for lunch today, nothing to show for it now. [B]Today has not been a good day.

2.99 on ice cream (large size tub on sale )
6.00 on a BART card that got me to and from school tonight and will again next week (I will classify this as neccesary but wanted to report it anyway)

No Spend! Yay!

3:
No Spend! Yay!

4:
5.99 + 5.53 on groceries (needed)

5:
10.23 on some items for the new baby - not needed immediately but they were on clearance and something I knew we were going to need, so I purchased them early.

12.85 on groceries (needed)

6:
5.83 vinyl mattress pad for twin bed

7:
No spend! Yay!

11:
I knew that this was going to be a bad day, but it didn't end up being quite as bad as I thought it was going to be . . .

12:
No spend! Yay! (Goodness knows I needed it after yesterday!!!)
