Food, I love to cook. i always get sucked into trying the "new" thing out, and sometimes those new things are expensive. We buy very healthy food, and a lot of it, we could easily cut down but i don't want to.

Oh yeah, and magazines. I never get subscriptions although i should and i buy about 5 magazines a month so about 20$ a month on magazines...

and makeup , i do buy this and i buy it at cvs or walgreens but its so expensive i've cut way down from my single days, but it adds up.

Dr. Pepper. I hate the irony of buying organic food and free range/grassfed meat and poultry and than chugging down caramel colored HFCS water, but I keep going back. I will stop, hopefully soon.

Out food. Like the dr pepper thing, it is stupid to spend more money on a meal that i less nutritious than what I could make at home, but sometimes I/we want it soooo bad!

Craft items. I bought a brand new sewing machine in January. Do I really need to explain what happens to craft spending after that? It would be even worse if I actually got time to sew!

Yes! I'm the same way, only for me it's vending machine crap at work. Cookies and candy bars. I don't even really like it all that much. I bring a little baggie of chocolate chips and I'm good. If I forget, I'm drawn to the vending machines like a magnet. Then I go to the store and spend mucho dinero on organic everything (which is actually important to me).

Yeah, an Ikea opened up here last summer. My son wants to go live there. Seriously, he flopped down on a pile of rugs and said, dreamily, "I want to stay here forever!"

My starbucks drink is double tall no foam latte. Or a tall caramel macchiato, light caramel. I'm buying a thermos, though, and taking coffee to work with me. It's got to stop. I was spending, like, half a car payment a month on the stuff.

Iced coffee...only the stuff out of a machine at the Kwik Trip, but at 1.99 they add up, and for awhile I was buying one every day.

Gymboree...I don't even want to think about what I spent on clothing for DS. What's really bad is that between gifts from my mom and MIL (lots of nice Carters stuff) and hand me downs that my nephew used to wear (also Carters and some Gymbo too) I wouldn't have had to buy ANY clothing for DS at so far.

I am getting better with the coffee, limiting myself to only once a week as a treat. I am hearing the siren song of Gymboree now though, since they are having a sale and it's time to earn Gymbucks again.

dang this thread makes me want to go get my hair cut and colored while drinking a mimosa and reading a new magazine or cookbook or knitting book.

In reality the snack box at work is my real enemy because it overpriced and unhealthy both and I do it everyday I do work.

Cookbooks... even worse, they are cookbooks that are often part of the collection at the library WHERE I WORK. So, it's not like I don't have ready access to these cookbooks, but... I like to occasionally just sit, relax and thumb through to get inspiration (I love to cook and often cook quite elaborate meals). So... I like to have them in my home collection. Sad, I know.

Mostly I'm too cheap to get my hair colored anyway, that and it seems to take forever. I do like the results. I was just telling my brother the other day that I was jealous that his hair was graying so attractively (i.e. a little all over) and mine has big clumpy gray chunks.

The mimosa I might just do (at home with OJ I already have and cheap sparkling wine).

Yes, yes. And after reading the $50 on liquor thread, I would like my knitting book/haircut/facial/pedicure with a glass of wine.

starbucks, books and yarn . . . .

The truest answer to violence is love. The truest answer to death is life. The only prevention for violence is for the heart to have no violence within it.  We cannot prevent evil through any system devised by mankind. But we can grapple with evil and defeat it, but only with love—real love.

Cant' beat that!

With me it's the drive thru for a soda! I call it my cigarette break. I feel so guilty. We eat or try to eat so healthy around here and I break down and go for the soda!

Denim skirts....love em.

Junk food. Oh the shame! In the house of vegan health food, no less.

Books...disposable paperbacks.

Vintage crap on e-bay.

Yarn...'nuff said. I have enough UFO's in my basket to rival Roswell.

So...I'm 43 and pregnant with #3 - how'd that happen?
