i applied to join the vegan collective. it would mean more income and less isolation, so that would be good. fingers crossed.
some kids broke a window while i was out. this house has fancy, expensive windows (double pane w. argon) so it's going to cost a lot to replace. so i'd better get that job.

week 1: 0$
7$ remaining for the month

(the budget is 75$/week for food, transportation, outings, etc, 100$ a month for clothes, gifts, craft stuff, etc)

march: 48% no-spend days
april: 56% no spend days
may: 52% no-spend
june: 33% no-spend

I haven't been doing this all month intentionally, but I guess I can join.

today: cat food (case of cans, bag of dry, my boys are on a special diet); limes at the grocery store

yesterday, I went into a Jo-Ann's fabric for a planned purchase and left with nothing when they didn't have exactly what I needed. And, I had a 40% off coupon. yay me.

Mom to DD1 (11/1999),  DD2 (07/2003), and DS (11/2012), all born at home and cloth diapered.

Had a huge errand run today, but didn't spend on anything not on the list (mostly).

*dropped off donations first (good karma).

*Then, parchment paper at the restaurant supply store (planned purchase). $15

*(Costco (coffee and a book, again, planned for) $25

*Jo-Ann superstore (frame for a poster, planned, did NOT buy anything else, even though I had a coupon burning a whole in my purse) $16

*Trader Joe's (wine, beer, pizza dough, planned) $10

*Asian market (soy sauce, impulse, realized I was out of it on the errand run) $3

*library (checked out, returned books)

Spent: $69

Mom to DD1 (11/1999),  DD2 (07/2003), and DS (11/2012), all born at home and cloth diapered.

I put my fifty dollar gift card from Walmart to good use. I bought my thank you cards, a wedding gift, the rit dye I need to do some baby onsie dyeing and some food. Today I went grocery shopping, and tomorrow when I go to the city I'm going to go by the library and return books for more free reading material/possibly movies. I'm thinking of going to the local goodwill to look for some bras...these pregnant ta tas keep growing and growing and growing, and frankly buying something expensive isn't worth it right now. If I can't find anything I might splurge on a new bra...but only if these boobs keep hurting.

I am still doing okay, except the bumping the temp on the AC up didn't work. Couldn't breathe, so it is in its usual too cold spot.

Oh, and I bought a little necklace. .

Climbing back on the wagon.

Only lemonades I've had now have been IF we were there anyway for a reason.

I'm still driving more than I would like. Gotta work on that.

I don't know how you all do this so carefully...I'm struggling with little things!

Used the excuse of my step-father's b-day (and my mother being away on a trip) to round up the family and bring him out to dinner (followed, of course, by gourmet ice cream ). Still within budget on groceries/eating out, but rest of the month is looking rather rice 'n beans-ish if there is any hope of not blowing the budget.
