I have breastfed my dd exclusively and will continue to do so until she is 12 months. After that I am going to give her an organic toddler formula instead of whole milk. She has been eating her homemade baby food solids since
7 1/2 months and is doing great with that. She eats breakfast, lunch and dinner and takes bottles of breastmilk at her babysitter's and nurses in the morning and before bed. Here is her eating schedule...FYI...I pack her food to take to her babysitter because I make all of it and use the babyfresh ice cube trays. So every time I list a food below, it's one cube of the food.

at home before we leave for her sitter 6am...nurse
with her babysitter 7:30am...breakfast (oatmeal & a fruit)
nap til 10am
with her babysitter 10am...breastmilk bottle - 5oz.
with her babysitter 12pm...lunch (veggie, meat & fruit)
with her babysitter 12:30pm...breastmilk bottle - 5oz.
nap til 3pm
with her babysitter 3pm...breastmilk bottle - 5oz.
at home 5:30pm...nurse
at home 8:30pm...nurse
bed

So, I don't know when to give the formula and if I should be packing snacks instead of a bottle or sippy cup once she is 12 months.

oh and fyi...my goal for bf was 12 months and I will reach it!

Thanks for your help and God Bless!

So, you're looking at stopping pumping, right?

I have not pumped, so I don't have a lot of experience with that. I think that I'd get the sitter to offer food with the two bottles that are at traditional snack times--the 10am and the 3pm ones. You could probably switch the formula into sippy cups, too. With a little time, she'd probably switch to eating more food, less milk/formula at that time.

I'm not sure about the naptime bottle--my weaned (for over a year) 3 year old still drinks a cup of milk before naptime.
