Sounds odd, I know but I need your help. I'm planning a little sprinkle for one of my friends. She's 25 weeks along and has lost three babies before (but at an earlier stage). Turns out she has PCOS and a clotting disorder. She can't have anything with refined sugar and has to stay off simple carbs all together.

Anyway, so I'm planning a shower and I would like to make one of those punches for her but I don't want to use sugary sodas or even diet sodas. Does anybody have a punch recipe with selzer water or sparkling water and just sugar free juices or jello?

Any input is appreciated.

Honestly, I wouldn't even go there. All fruit juices have sugar... from the fruit even if they don't have sugar added to it. If you do want to have juice, ask her what kind of beverages she drinks. She might be off juices.

If she isn't, then yes - you can add 'no sugar added, not from concentrate' apple juice to sparkling water. Or you can make straw berry juice and add to sparkling water.

That is very sweet of you to give a baby shower to your friend. I hope the party goes well.

Make iced tea and serve sweetner on the side for the other guests.

Mom of a 7 yr old, 4 yr old, and 1 yr old. Wow. How did that happen?
