here's a good thread to follow:

http://www.mothering.com/discussions....php?t=1258399

it's not menu planning but I have gotten lots of recipe ideas here. I had saved an email that was labeled 30 meals and I went to the blog, but I couldn't find the entry so darn. I was going to share.

If you look for paleo, scd or gaps recipes you will get lots of great meal ideas, but as for planning, I just try to get tips from the regular threads and then adjust.

here's some good ideas though:

Lasagna made with eggplant or zucchini slices in place of the noodles

use cauliflower to make fauxtatoes - steam them up and mash with butter, use for shepard's pie or other crusty type needs
I use cauliflower a lot to replace potatoes. You can use turnips too, but they are pretty starchy.

Make soups and stews with lots of flavor like:

indian - lentil cauliflower curry
middle eastern - crushed lentil soup
cuban - sausage & veggies

I find the bright flavors distract me from missing the starches

also cinnamon helps me when I want sweets
