Here is this month, I'm going to attempt to paste it in from my blog rather than have to type it out in a list, we'll see if it works!

The holidays still aren't solidified yet since I'm not the only one cooking for them so what I make will depend on what everyone else is bringing.

We are only the second day into December and I've already strayed from my menu. LOL! Yesterday we ended up having Chicken Parmesan, because it was dp's mom's birthday the day before and she requested it. Today I did make meatballs (bbq.... ended up really yummy!). Tomorrow was supposed to be tacos but I think dp and I are having date night instead. Woo! Then I found out that the 13, 14, 15 and 16th dp won't be home (he'll be away on a work trip) so all of those days will be messed up (I don't really cook if it's just me and ds because ds won't eat any of it anyway!). So my new menu, for now, is as follows...

1. Chicken Parmesan

2. Meatballs

3. Date Night!

6. Coconut Shrimp

7. Breakfast for Dinner (probably omelet with veggies, turkey bacon and waffles or pancakes)

8. Fajitas

9. No plan, out of state

10. No plan, out of state

13. No plan

14. No plan

15. No plan

16. No plan

17. Chicken Tenderloin with stir fry veggies

20. Beef Tips and Noodles

21. Chicken Marsala

22. Fish and Shrimp

23. Chicken Pesto Florentine

24. Dinner at dp's parents

25. Fend for yourself/leftovers from dp's parents house (I might make seafood with pasta because dp hates that and he wants leftovers). We are not cooking on Christmas because we have to leave early the next morning and don't want to deal with leftovers or dishes or anything.

Dec. 26- Jan. 3 we will be on vacation (in the Virgin Islands..... getting married love.gif).

So I guess technically I only have to cook on 9 weekday nights this month. Woah!

Don't feel bad Steph, I've already moved mine around too!  And we always have prime rib for Christmas (we raise our own so it's super cheap).  Now dh's saying he wants ham.

Mine always gets juggled around to.  I plan things for certain days but I'm not concerned if it doesn't work out that way.  I consider the month a success if we don't:

1- get takeout

2- stop at the store for ingredients for a different meal (unexpected company is an exception) (we shop once a month so I'm thrilled when we don't forget things/decide we need something else)

3- stress over dinner at the last minute because we don't know what to make or what ingredients we have.

I'm not concerned so much with sticking to the plan verbatim. Just having the plan (and the ability to deviate from it) gives me peace of mind and less dinnertime stress.

Although, I'm still really pleased when we cross every item off the menu by the end of the month.  So far in 14 months that's only happened once and come close a few times.
