I am starting to regret planning in pizza for tonight. It's hot! Oh, well. It will be TJ's dough plus sauce: version 1 - goat cheese, onion, mushroom; version 2 - mozzarella, pepperoni.

It's hot where I live too. Like upper 90's and very humid!! It hadn't been this hot all summer.

It was insanely hot, but now thunderstorms have moved through and it's nice and cool - almost fall-like. I'm looking forward to a rainy Friday night on the couch.

Leftovers here before husband went to work - Shepherd's pie, pasta - random stuff from the fridge.

Nachos with vegan queso (with homegrown jalapeños), spicy lentils, pico (again with homegrown tomatoes and jalapeños), and guac. OMG. So good. The watermelon margarita pretty much hits the spot!

Been a while since I've shared, but I love this thread for menu planning.

We had Thai-inspired "hot plate." I browned ground turkey in coconut oil, added a few handfuls of green beans, a sliced orange bell pepper, half a mango, and a smidge of red curry paste. Served it with roasted spaghetti squash and sauce I whipped up from peanut butter, soy sauce, lemon juice and coconut butter. The sauce made the meal.

Tonight husband is working, so I'm working through the camping food stash - stuff that will expire before we camp again next summer. So it's boxed mashed potatoes and Stovetop stuffing here tonight! Plus I'm going to pan fry a chicken breast to go with it.

No idea... husband is working tonight so it's just me and Little Man. He has been supremely finicky lately, so it'll probably be macaroni and cheese with applesauce on the side if I'm lucky. For myself - I'm stumped. Another migraine today, so probably whatever I can heat up quickly and force feed myself.

My dinner plan got derailed by the storm and a power outage Friday, and I lost a bunch of groceries I had bought because the power was out for 12 hrs. :-(
Tonight in-laws made dinner & tomorrow I am making chicken, broccoli and rice.

Ragana, ugh, I hate it when that happens!

My avocado and mango aren't ripe yet, so it looks like the pork carnitas tacos I planned for tonight is out. I guess we're going with a veggie lasagna and salad.

Sucks about the power outage!

Tonight I wanted comfort food, and we're down to chicken and seafood in the freezer until payday so I opted for chicken and dumplings.

Mmm, yeah, BLT's with fresh summer tomatoes sound wonderful.

We're going crock-pot pork carnitas tacos with avocado and green salad tonight.

I think BLTs were the one tomato dish I did NOT serve with all of our tomatoes. Duh!

Last night was a zucchini and carmelized onion gallette. Served with tomato salad. The pastry turned out really well...I usually don't take the time to do it right!

I did not end up making the BLTs. We were out late and ended up ordering pizza and salad. Tonight we are supposed to get severe weather so if power goes out it's cold pizza for dinner lol. If power doesn't go out it's still leftover pizza. I didn't go out and get any groceries in case we lose power. Luckily the pizza we got yesterday was a huge pizza so it's enough for two days.

Smart plan! We very rarely get power outages, so while I had candles and flashlights, I didn't think to do stuff like throwing the meat from the fridge into the freezer when we had the outage last week. :-(

My mom sent us home with the world's most gigantic tub of meatballs/sausage in sauce with several boxes of spaghetti and a bunch of ice cream sandwiches. She claimed they go with the meal. Okay..... So, anyway, that's what we had, with a salad.
